Dental Implants

The procedure

An implant is a false metal root used to form anchors for a crown, bridge or denture attachments. Implants are usually inserted under local anaesthesia and it normally takes around half an hour to place a single implant.

You are unlikely to be very sore after implant surgery but regular painkillers will be arranged for you. There is relatively little swelling and you will be able to resume work within a couple of days.
