ENT

The department manages various head and neck conditions involving the nose and post nasal space, oral cavity, pharynx and larynx, as well as thyroid and salivary gland disease.

Skin cancers involving the ears, nose and lips are also treated. Patients are managed by a multidisciplinary team involving oncology, speech and language therapy, dietitians and maxilo-facial surgeons. Diseases affecting the nasal cavity and external nose are managed both medically and surgically; they can include congenital and acquired nasal deformity, chronic and acute rhinosinusitis and nasal allergy. The department also performs advanced middle ear surgical procedures. Our fully equipped audiology department improves patient care by providing both standard and digital hearing aids. We offer a comprehensive diagnostic service for paediatric ENT such as glue ear, recurrent tonsillitis, ENT infections and investigation of hearing loss. We undertake all general paediatric ENT surgery, with the exception of under-twos and complex craniofacial disorders and genetic conditions with complex pathophysiolgy.
